With this pregnancy I had a strange coloured smelling discharge (sorry tmi) at 18 weeks but was sent home from the hospital twice, Drs both saying it was blood and I was contracting so they wanted me on bed rest. Hello all, I just recently lost a son due to chorioamnionitis. ![]() Doctors have suggested giving him some steroids but he cant get them until the infection in his lungs have cleared. Me and his mum are very emotional and worried as no progress is being made with him. His lungs have collapsed a few times before he went onto the oscillator. He was then changed to the oscillator and has been.on this ever since. He was on the conventional ventilator for shortly over 3 weeks and he was doing ok and then just deteriorated and his stats dropped very low and just would not come up. We have been called to the hospital a few times as we were told he wouldnt make it. As his.mother had low amniotic fluid from 19 weeks and gave birth to him at 24 weeks he has chronic lung disease and isnt making any progress whatsoever apart from growing a bit. Currently he has been in the nicu for 33 days now and he has just gotten worse. Harley was born and showed signs of life so went straight to the nicu after doctors worked on him. He got them the day before he hit 24 weeks and his mother went into labour a few days later. We were told if our son held off until 24 weeks he would get steroids for his lungs. We were in and out of hospital for weeks as she was heavily bleeding all the time. From 19 weeks my partner shaunna had very low amniotic fluid surrounding him and we were always told he wouldnt make it. My son harley was born at exactly 24 weeks weighing 1 pound 3 ounces. I just want to share my story as I am so scared for my son. ![]()

It's good that Rider's Republic recognises that biking encompasses more than pushing the pedals, it's about hitting the brakes too.Drift Stunt Racing 2019 places drivers into a thrilling drift racing experience. You aren't necessarily beating anyone else to the finish, you're learning how to land and slow and turn. There's a different sort of thrill to be had in these intricate playgrounds and it lies in mastery. One Stunt level had me build up momentum, liftoff a ramp, then immediately transition into a series of hops across little wooden islands. You do need to screw your helmet on properly though, as you'll more than likely take a tumble. In a game filled with noise, these physics puzzles provided some welcome respite. It's just you, the bike, and this difficult level. No sweeping vistas or fireworks or frat boys yelling how stoked they are down the radio. ![]() While speed is great and all, there's something brilliant about stripping a time trial back to basics: to win, you must wheel slowly through a course constructed of thin planks. What's brilliant about them is that they're essentially Trials games, but in Riders Republic. The aim of the game is to reach the end of the course within a set time limit. All of this, and more, in six American national parks all crammed together into one big map: Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Grand Teton, Mammoth Mountain, Sequoia Park, Yosemite Valley, and Zion. Think Super Mario, but he's on a bike, and instead of pipes and blocks, you've got gaps and wooden beams to navigate. Nope: they're difficult platforming sections that require precision and patience. ![]() I thought of "Stunt" as something in Riders Republic where you'd have to perform a sequence of tricks or partake in a spectacular set piece, a bit like when you race a train in Forza Horizon 4, for instance. Their name belies the activity, actually. But none came close to the humble "Stunt" courses. I even delivered pizzas to camp members on a bike, while dressed as a panda. Air races where I whistled through checkpoints with a rocket-propelled wingsuit on. Traditional races where I ploughed down a mountain on wooden skis, or crunched down a mountain on a chunky bike. Now, I tried a bunch of different things in Riders Republic. Not that the others aren't as cool, it's just that the bike lets you tackle the "Stunt" levels scattered across the game's map. Complete races and you'll gradually unlock new activities to participate in. From my experience, it's the bike that wins out. To help you navigate this vast expanse of canyons, snow, and ravines, you're armed with a radial menu that lets you choose from a bike, snowmobile, or a pair of skis. Once you've created your member of the gnarly army, that is, whose uniform is a checked shirt and a pair of ripped jeans. From the off, it drops you into this huge map littered with map markers and pushes you to chase them down. As I've already mentioned, Riders Republic largely wants you to shred, bro. ![]() ![]() ![]() But as your HD increases, the HD multiplies the effect of your higher ability scores, until eventually they become more valuable than the HD. This is why you can never balance +LA characters. Skill points? Intelligence + attribute bonuses. Pretty much everything that HD gives you, you can get through stats. That is to say, for some HD 'n', there is a HD 'n-m' where you'd rather play the character that forgoes 'm' HD if you have unbalanced stats. Our DM has recently decided to run an adventure for him and some similarly leveled characters, and in that setting he's the big-bang of melee combat. The 19 CON isn't bad, and helps his hit points stay above the one-punch stage, but he's a long way from power gaming in the regular setting. His AC says "Power attack me, please!", and his to-hit is relatively pitiful at +15 (BAB of 7 plus 8 for Strength.) Saves are relatively poor as well. He's been playing the party weakling though, since he's currently 9 hit dice in a 16th level game. Not sure how forgoing extra hit dice is power gaming, but to each his own I suppose. In theory the awakened bear could have taken those two extra hit dice as character levels. As it is, he has three Barbarian levels, and seems more than a little broken. I chose to forgo the two extra dice, running him instead as a straight 6 dice creature, advancing by level. ![]() I'd probably interpret him as having Barbarian as "Preferred Class".Īs a fair note: I'm currently running such a character. So far, this is standard turbo-engine practice, but all these conventional components were screwed together and dialed in to produce some very un-turbolike behavior. The compression ratio has been lowered to 7.5:1. Pistons are cast-aluminum, but they've been redesigned (along with the wrist pins) for greater strength. Crankshaft fillets receive a pressure-rolling treatment to make this part more fatigue-resistant. Extra material was added to the block's bearing webs and top deck, and main-bearing-cap bolts have been increased from seven-sixteenths to one-half inch in diameter. Several internal modifications have also helped the 301 stand the gaff of nine pounds of boost. This happens continuously every few milliseconds, so the engine runs with optimum spark advance all the time. Upon hearing the first few rattles of detonation, the transducer tells an electronic module first to back off spark advance, and then immediately thereafter to restore just enough to keep ignition timing at the threshold of detonation. The system relies on an accelerometer-type transducer bolted to the intake manifold to listen for vibrations characteristic of unscheduled combustion. This is why Pontiac has adopted a very sophisticated spark retarder, pioneered by Buick in its 1978 turbo Regal. ![]() A side effect of using a later spark to limit detonation is the fact that it also sacrifices power. It can be combatted by at least three means: by adding water injection, which Pontiac has avoided for a number of good reasons by enriching the fuel-air mixture, which is unfortunately contrary to efficiency goals and therefore used sparingly and by retarding ignition timing. ![]() Nine psi worth of overpressure is a rather ambitious undertaking for an engine certified to run on 91-octane fuel, and realizing this, Pontiac has taken several precautions to avoid the mechanical destruction all too common when a turbocharger blows an engine the wrong way. It heats the charge to maintain cold drivability, but once the cooling system reaches 217 degrees Fahrenheit, the thermostat shuts off flow to keep fuel-air mixtures as cool as possible. Instead, there's a water jacket surrounding the plenum chamber. Heat is also detrimental to a high-mass flow, so the normally aspirated 301 engine's exhaust crossover has been omitted from the turbo engine's intake manifold. All passages are as smooth in shape and as generous in area as possible to minimize power-limiting restrictions. Air is picked up by a four-inch-diameter duct just above the front air dam, flows unimpeded to the carburetor, where fuel is added, and then turns through 90 degrees in the plenum to enter the turbo compressor in a horizontal stream.
![]() Hence, by really focusing on the mechanics that most matter, Dominions 5 I think does a great job of spending its complexity well to get an. Heck, 4X games with far less complexity often feel more bloated because they're trying to do far too many separate things at once, and in the TRPG space, I've experienced how Chronicles of Darkness doesn't seem complicated until you take into account how many separate systems and mechanics there are. Hence, while Dominions 5 is complex, it's also very focused in a way that often doesn't apply to complex strategy games. There are logistics, however, the player isn't managing supply convoys or similar, it's just something to encourage players not to make overly large armies, and that often relates directly to battles(Don't let troops starve!), or magic(forge items to allow extra food!). Similarly, while players can do things like trade gems with each other, there isn't really a lot of structured diplomacy, most of that has to be done more. Outside of that? Dominions 5 does not have a complicated economic system, given there are only three types of building(Forts, Labs, and Temples), only one of those structures can be upgraded, and there's no management of stuff like taxation in the game. However, in my experience, that complexity is really concentrated in two areas: Battles and Magic. To start with, Dominions 5, which I'm currently preparing for my first multiplayer game in, is indeed a really complicated fantasy war-game. ![]() To show this, I chose two extremely complex games I have a fair amount of experience with, which are Dominions 5 and Shadow Empire. However, I don't want that to be taken to mean complex games can't be great, or that the above principle can't be used in those games. ![]() ![]() So, one of the biggest lessons I've received in game design is the idea of complexity as a currency a designer uses to buy depth. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() However, there is speculation that the real reason these were discontinued by Kellogg’s is simply because these yogurt balls were too expensive to make. Yogos were small, circular, multi-colored fruit snacks with a yogurt shell, and they quickly garnered a good reputation. The reason you can no longer get your hands on these delicious peanut butter squares is because the Mars family had a strong dislike for peanut butter. Why? Well, according to one former Mars executive, the reason wasn’t because PB Max wasn’t selling well – they made $50 million in sales. The truth is, even though PB Max Bars have a rabid fan following, they faded out of existence in 1994. That being said, we believe that these simply came at a bad time. Filled to the brim with peanut butter, these bars were physically intimidating, and held considerable heft. Early television commercials for PB Max declared that the “PB” in its name did not stand for things such as piggy banks, polka band, portly ballerina, platinum blonde, penguin black-belt, pig basketball, plow boy, pure bliss, parachuting buffalo, or pink baboon - but that it in fact stood for peanut butter (who would’ve guessed). This bar was dreamed up by M&M Mars as competition to Hershey’s Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, though it was advertised as more of a snack than a candy bar, which may have contributed to its downfall. Introduced in 1990, this candy bar was a chocolate-coated arrangement of peanut butter and oats on top of a whole-grain cookie. However, there is some good news: while this snack was discontinued in America, they were being produced and sold in Mexico. When a different fan reached out, the response was more of the same: some flavors will end up being someone’s flavor, but when a product isn’t doing as well as the company wants, they get discontinued in order to make room for new ideas. Frito-Lay responded by stating that, while they’re happy that their products have such a dedicated following, not all of them make the favorites list. In 2013, a fan reached out to Frito-Lay, asking why, exactly, 3D Doritos had been discontinued. While Frito-Lay may be tempted to say that it’s just business, we did some digging to find out more. These snacks were discontinued in 2004, and the reasoning is still a bit unclear. However, while they had a very passionate fan-base, it wasn’t a huge fan-base. They came in four flavors: Nacho Cheesier, Jalapeno and Chedder, Texas Paprika, and Zesty Ranch. These chips were introduced in 1998 with a commercial that featured Sean Hayes and Ali Landry, and they were a massive hit. These came with the same nacho cheese flavor that we love, but the 3D cone aspect of the chip was what really brought it to the next level. These were the Doritos 2.0 that fans were craving. Wrapped up in an intense red and blue packaging, Doritos was really thinking outside of the box (or rather, the chip bag) when they created this 3D version of the popular snack. Here are the Top 10 Discontinued Snacks Americans Miss the Most. Let’s hop in the DeLorean with Marty and the Doc and head back to a time where these yummy snacks still existed. However, there are times where companies will hit all the right spots – and still discontinue the product.
